- Wake up with enough time to actually get ready
It is so easy to fall into the lazy college student trap of waking up 20 minutes before class starts, throwing on a pair of sweatpants, a sweatshirt, and a pair of classes and heading out the door. I personally am SO guilty of this. But it’s no secret that we feel much better about ourselves when we are put together and looking nice. So start setting your alarm clock 30 minutes earlier and take some time to un-zombify yourself. You’ll be amazed how much better you feel!
- Plan a healthy, tasty lunch
The day goes by so much faster when you have something to look forwards to, so why not have that be your lunch, especially if you’re a foodie like me. Your lunch break should be your refueling time during the day, that’s why it’s so important to have something healthy and substantial.
- Find time to get outside and be active
Whether it’s taking a walk around the block or making some time to go to the gym…This can make a world of a difference. Some days can be pretty busy and it’s just about impossible to put time aside from all of your other responsibilities, so here are 8 ways to stay active though out the day.
- Get that 6-8 hours of sleep a night
Seriously, this is so important. The average human body needs this much sleep every night in order to function to its full capability. Lack of sleep can lead to some pretty nasty things…stress, break-outs, over-eating, irritability…etc. Nobody wants to experience any of those, so shut down the lap-top, turn off the Netflix, and get some sleep.
- Keep an up-to-date planner
Your planner should be your sidekick. It should have everything in it from due dates, to exam days, your work schedule, your plans for the weekend, your day for laundry, your grocery list…the list goes on and on. Writing things down and always having them with you will make you feel 100 times more organized. Organized student=happy student.
